Paste a listing or enter a vehicle's details, and we check it against a real, sourced knowledge base of documented reliability issues, and where possible, a live market valuation built from real, current listings across South African dealer and marketplace sites.

When we don't have a verified answer for something, we say so directly in the report, rather than presenting a guess as a fact.
We're funded entirely by report purchases. No dealer pays to be listed, ranked, or left out. Nobody sees your report before you do.
I am a self-taught mechanic who has spent more than 35 years learning through doing - fixing, designing and building engines, race engines, gearboxes, suspension and many other mechanical and automotive systems.
I never learned by simply accepting that something was "the way it is supposed to be." I learned by taking things apart, understanding how they worked, finding out why they failed, building things, testing them and sometimes getting things wrong and learning from it.
Over those decades, I developed a deep understanding of engineering principles through practical experience rather than a traditional academic path.
But the most important thing I have learned has nothing to do with mechanics.
It is the value of honesty.
Unwavering honesty is part of who I am.
If I know something, I will say so. If I don't know, I would rather say "I don't know" than pretend that I do. If the evidence contradicts my assumption, the assumption must change. And if I can help someone, I believe I should.
That philosophy is the real foundation of AutoLytiQs.
I started this journey in August 2025 because I wanted to use everything I had learned over the years to help people make better decisions when buying and owning vehicles.
I've seen how easily people can buy a vehicle that looks perfect on the surface but hides expensive problems. I've seen people rely on assumptions, incomplete information or advice that isn't properly supported by evidence. I've also seen how a little bit of the right information, given at the right time, can prevent a very expensive mistake.
I wanted to build something that could give people that information before they commit their money. That became AutoLytiQs.
I don't believe in simply giving people an answer. I believe in understanding why the answer is what it is.
A diagnostic fault code isn't automatically a failed component. A low-priced vehicle isn't automatically a bargain. A high-mileage vehicle isn't automatically a bad vehicle. And an apparently perfect vehicle isn't automatically a good purchase. There is always context.
That is how I approach problems: question the assumption, examine the evidence, look for what could have been missed, and then make the best decision possible from what we actually know. I want AutoLytiQs to work the same way.
Knowledge → Evidence → Decision → Confidence → Explanation.
The system should not manufacture certainty where none exists. If the evidence is strong, say so. If the evidence is weak, say so. If something is unknown, say that too.
I don't want AutoLytiQs to be just another vehicle database or another AI-generated report. I want it to become something much more useful: a trusted second set of eyes before someone buys or makes an important decision about a vehicle.
The technology should do the complicated work behind the scenes. The person using AutoLytiQs should receive something simple: What do I need to know? What could go wrong? What could this vehicle really cost me? What should I check? Is the price fair? How confident are we? And ultimately: should I buy it?
Everything I build starts with the same principle that has guided me throughout my life: be honest, understand the problem, use the evidence, help where you can.
AutoLytiQs is my attempt to take more than 35 years of practical experience, combine it with modern technology and intelligence, and make useful automotive knowledge available to people who may not have that experience themselves.
Because buying a vehicle shouldn't require you to be a mechanic. You should simply have the opportunity to make the decision with your eyes open.
